The Math Obby 3 is a Roblox obstacle course (“Obby”) created specifically for Maths Missions, where Maths practice is built directly into the gameplay. Students complete Maths challenges as they progress through the Obby, earning Brainy Bux, unlocking pets and other rewards, and working through stages designed to build their skills step by step — turning Maths practice into part of the adventure rather than a separate task.
Maths Missions Level 1 roughly corresponds to the UK Reception and Year 1 Maths curriculum, beginning with counting up to 10, then 20, 30 and 50, before turning things around and counting backwards. From there, we’ll practise counting up and down in 2s, 5s and 10s, gradually building the number skills and understanding that form the foundations for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Designed with learning anxiety in mind, The Math Obby 3 encourages students to experiment, make mistakes and try again without the pressure of traditional worksheets or written exercises. Throughout the class, I support students with different strategies, explanations and prompts as we work towards building their confidence, understanding and independence with Maths.
#1 Your child will need a Roblox account to participate in the Maths Missions class. Please set up a Roblox account for your child in advance. To do this, follow the Roblox account set-up guide. It is also recommended to read the safety guide on Roblox.
